Busy apartment building corridors need durable floors that can withstand moderate foot traffic and are easy to clean and maintain. Often the only area separating individual housing units, the floor needs to be specifically designed to limit sound transmission from walking and the ambient noise of neighbourly chatting. Additionally, playing with designs to generate a sense of rhythm is an excellent way to break up any visual monotony.
