Business Environment Council Limited 商界環保協會有限公司 (BEC) has been at the forefront of promoting environmental excellence in Hong Kong by advocating the uptake of clean technologies and practices which reduce waste, conserve resources, prevent pollution and improve corporate principles. They decided to work with Tarkett and to select floorings promoting sustainability, health and wellbeing. In particular environmental and social responsibility.

In 2020, BEC wanted to renovate their office in accordance with the brand's - DESSO Cradle-to-cradle certified carpet tiles and the unique AirMaster technology were appreciated by the organization.

Product Selection

For the reception area, BEC selected DESSO Fields & Fuse Create to remind the brand logo colors in the carpet, including blue, yellow, and green with subtle transitions.

For the CEO Office and meeting rooms, DESSO Desert AirMaster was selected to improve indoor air quality and reduce the risk of allergies.

In Director Offices and main areas, DESSO Desert lends a feeling of vast, open spaces thanks to its subtly layered organic design. Like the shifting sands of the desert, the small touches of colors, in different shapes, allow to play with the space to create a serene flooring scheme.

The green carpet, reminding nature and sustainability, was installed in the big meeting rooms, director offices near the windows to echo the outside trees and create an environment of calm and tranquility. It is also used in small sample in the main areas of the workplace to further bring a sense of outdoors and wellbeing.

For pantry areas, BEC selected Tarkett LVT iD Essential 30 due to its beautiful wood-like pattern, high resistance to scratches, and easy maintenance.
